***MUSICAL MEMOS***
The newest CD, Another Day in Paradise, ranked #4 in its first month of promotion, with at least one more month of promotion to go. That means the first three CDs have all ranked in the top 5. I think that's pretty cool. And I'm very grateful. Besides the radio promotion for Another Day in Paradise, New Age Reporter (NAR) will announce their 2007 Lifestyle Music Awards nominations sometime in January. Both Another Day in Paradise and Out of the Darkness, Into the Light are in the running. Stay tuned for updates. At this point, I'm thinking of releasing two albums in 2008. One will be the result of the music I'm currently developing, while the other one will be a compilation of "all the mellow stuff" from the first four CDs. Hopefully, it will be useful for yoga, meditation, relaxation, massage, etc., and it may even be a two-CD set. We'll have to see how that develops. ***SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING***
As 2007 comes to an end, I find myself reflecting on the past year and looking forward to 2008. With that in mind, I took a look at this past year's newsletters, to remind myself of what I had written. Here's a summary of the topics: January: David R. Hawkins, MD, and his Map of Consciousness. February: "seek higher levels of awareness and consciousness, live in the now, and dissolve the ego." March: "The Secret", the law of attraction, and the power of joy and gratitude. April: resistance, stress, and the Sedona Method. May: "Emanate love. Feel good. Serve the world." June: "Believe in the Power of Love. Trust in the Benevolence of the Universe. Honor your Process. Love yourself." July: "Feed the Spirit wolf, not the ego wolf. Put your logs on the healing fires, and fan the flames of love." August: "We are perfect, and guiltless. Remember who you are, and help others do the same." September: "Look at the picture, not the frame; the gift, not the packaging." October: Divine Love, and our limited (but developing) understanding of it. November: a list of things for which I am grateful. December: a reflection on the past, and a look to the future. It has been a wonderful year. 2008 will be even better. I wish you all the best for a Happy New Year. ***POINTS TO PONDER / IN OTHER NEWS***
THE OTHER 10 COMMANDMENTS Thou shall not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities. Thou shall not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass. Thou shall not cross bridges before you come to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this. Thou shall face each problem as it comes. You can only handle one at a time anyway. Thou shall not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows. Thou shall not borrow other people's problems. They can better care for them than you can. Thou shall not try to relive yesterday; for good or ill, it is forever gone. Concentrate on what is happening in your life and be happy now! Thou shall be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear different ideas from your own. It is hard to learn something new when you are talking, and some people do know more than you do. Thou shall not become "bogged down" by frustration, for 90% of it is rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive action. Thou shall count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one. **AND THE WINNER IS ... ***
