***MUSICAL MEMOS***
The new CD, Love, Light, and Water, is concluding its first month of radio promotion. CDs and mp3 downloads are currently available at CDBaby.com, Amazon.com, and iTunes, etc. So far, the reviews are very gratifying. Visit the website to read what others are saying about Love, Light, and Water. Frankly, promoting the new CD takes time away from writing other music. However, I'm still making time to work on new compositions. I'm also working on some music videos. The first fruit of that labor is on the home page of the website. I hope you'll check out "At the End of the Day"; let me know what you think. ***SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING***
This month, I'd like to share with you a recent article by Diane Enderson.
REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE By Diane Enderson Many people are attempting to make sense of the world and their place in it. It can seem overwhelming at times as so much is going on. As we read the news, listen to TV or radio, and look at what is happening in our own lives, maybe we need to look at the truth about what is really happening in the world today. YOU ARE A SPIRITUAL BEING Realizing you are first and foremost a spiritual being having a human experience is the first step. The truth is we have forgotten our spirit. We live our lives as if we are our thoughts and our emotions. We are not our mind. We as human beings have separated ourselves from spirit, and elevated our thinking, our minds, to the spiritual level. This whole separation has been going on since the beginning of the Renaissance period. A further split was created during the Industrial Revolution. When spirit is set aside and the mind takes over, what is left is the science. The mind is controlling things. It produces all the facts, theories, data, and evidence. The art of healing with a real plant found in nature is all but gone. So are the rain forests of the world. The pharmaceutical companies have taken the nature out and given us synthetic drugs and antibiotics to put into a natural body. We were more holistic a hundred years ago than we are today. We took care of ourselves, knowing what we needed to do to stay healthy. BEING CONSCIOUS Being conscious means staying out of all the drama and negative mental thought we create when we listen to the media. Personal loss, devastation, and war are constantly being fed to us. That negativity is compounded by giving it our attention. Take responsibility and start looking for the light in all things. Send a whole lot of peace to places in this world having problems. It shifts the energy of the situation. Fear and other negative thoughts make it worse. EMPOWER YOURSELF AND OTHERS Notice how you allow negative thoughts to move into your personal lives. Notice if you start taking things personally and making it about you. Have you ever been watching a movie or a news report and started crying? You just personalized that experience. We tend to bond in shared negative experiences. How healthy is that for anyone? Try empowering others. Ask them what they would like to do to fix whatever the problem is. The answer is always inside if we just take the time to go within and listen. DO CONSCIOUS THINKING Think about the big buzz on global warming and all the energy given to that issue. Realize the real issue is not global warming, but the way we have been using our resources in an incorrect way. That needs to change. Do CONSCIOUS THINKING! How are you contributing to the issue? Become aware of your part, your role as a spiritual being, in what is happening on this planet. Make changes before they have to be laws. Be aware and stay conscious. Send peace and positive thoughts for a good outcome. It's your choice! Remember, you are a spiritual being first. And as this spiritual being, you are having a human experience. You are just wearing the human coat for a while. Remember who you are. Diane Enderson is a healer, educator, author, and founder of The Center Bridging Body, Mind and Spirit in Fresno. For the past 30 years, she has taken a non-traditional approach to health and well-being, successfully assisting others to release emotional, spiritual, and physical problems. 559-960-0211. www.diane-healer.com ***POINTS TO PONDER / IN OTHER NEWS***
(The following bits of wisdom are attributed to a high school student.) The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less. We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, but less solutions; more medicine, but less wellness. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; we've added years to life, not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor. We've conquered outer space, but not inner space; we've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've split the atom, but not our prejudice. We have higher incomes, but lower morals; we've become long on quantity, but short on quality. These are the times of tall men, and short character; steep profits, and shallow relationships. These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition. These are days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes. It is a time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stockroom; a time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to forward this message and make a difference... or just hit delete.
